Rebecca Johnson (Performer) Rebecca Johnson danced through out New England, New York, and New Jersey before relocating to the west coast in 1999. She is a company member of Oakland-land-based Paufve Dance and Nina Haft & Company. Rebecca holds B.A. degrees in English Literature and Modern Dance from Rutgers University and M. Ed. from the University of New Hampshire. She is thrilled to be part of the Dream Team. Many thanks to Della for this opportunity and to Jacob for his unwavering and generous support.
Sarah Kliban (Performer) A San Francisco native, Sarah Kliban began her acting career at A.C. T. and has performed as far away as New York, Paris, and Japan. Her San Francisco theatre credits include work ar Theatre Artaud, Theatre of Yugen, George Coates Performanceworks, the Exit Theatre, etc. She has most recently been dedicating her time to apearing in independent films. Sarah also does voice-over work, is a dialect coach, and also is a casting director for feature films and television. She is delighted to participate in this production specially as she appeared in the premiere piece in San Francisco.
Kerry Mehling (Performer) Kerry Mehling holds an MFA in Choreography from UC Davis and a BFA in performance from the University of Utah. Kerry has performed and toured in the companies of Sideshow Physical Theatre, Deborah Slater Dance Theatre, Ririe Woodbury Dance Company, and numerous other Bay Area companies. In her travels, Kerry has had the opportunity to teach choreography nationally and as well as internationally. Kerry continues to teach through out Northern California, while creating her own works through her company, TalisMANIC Physical Theatre, collaborating with Sideshow Physical Theatre and Deborah Slater Dance Theater. She considers herseld and incurable Dellaphile!
Elizabeth Morales (Performer) Elizabeth Morales is a Bay Area native. She graduated Magna cum Laude from Saint Mary's College in 2007 with B.A. degres in Communication and Performing Arts/Dance. At graduation, she was awarded the Louis LeFevre Theatre award for academic excellence in the Performing Arts department. Currently, she is a faculty member at Saint Mary's College High School and is persuing her teaching credential. Elizabeth is very excited to be a part of the celebrated piece and to be working with Della and so many talented and inspiring people.
Jorge Luis Morejon (Performer) Jorge Luis Morejon artistic versatility has been nourished by two decades of theatre, opera, dance and performance art experiences. He has participated in over forty productions with Prometeo Theatre, Telemundo, Creation Ballet, Ballet Theatre of Miami, Greater Miami Opera and his own company Thelos Theatre. Most notably, he has apeared in THE MAIDS and SLEEPLESS CITY. Recently, he performed in DIVIDE LIGHT: A New Opera, at the Montalvo Arts Center in Saratoga. Currently, he is persuing a PhD in Performance Studies at UC Davis. The Ten PM Dream is Jorge's first performance with Sideshow Physical Theatre.
Mantra Plonsey (Performer) Plonsey has prodigious vocal history with KITKA, SF Festival CHORUS (conductor, Ronald Runnicles), ensembles DREAMLAND and KUKUKU. She sings NPR's CITY ARTS AND LECTURES theme. Stage appereances include George Coates's INVISIBLE SITE and THE DESERT MUSIC. Thanks, Della for introducing me to DANCE LYON DANCE THEATRE director Eric Kupers, with whom I've performed twice in 10 PM DREAM. With the soulful Dandelions, I contribute to projects OUST, DROP, and upcoming show MUTT. Husband Dan and I are on an opera with and featuring graphic novelist Harvey Pekar. My grateful affection to them, our children and our parents.
Shannon Preto (Performer) Shannon Preto is a SF choreographer, dancer, producer and dance teacher. He has an MFA in dance form the University of Colorado at Boulder. Shannon teaches dance in the Theater Department at the San Francisco School of the Arts. He has taught dance and somatic workshops ar Dance Mission Theatre, CounterPULSE, the OCD/School (SF), the Temescal Arts Center (Okland), at the SOLA Contemporary Dance Festival (Torrance, CA), and at the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. He has choreographed for Dance/Theater Shannon, theater FIRST'S SERGEANT MUSGRAVE'S DANCE and the College of Marin's DANCING at LUGHNASA. Thank you Della and Kerry!
Travis Rowland (Performer) Travis Rowland holds BA in both Drama (Popular Theatre) and Dance (Performance and Choreographay) from SFSU, where he served as Student Artistic Director for the University Dance Theater in 2005/6, and was honored by the School of Music & Dance with the award of Outstanding Student in Performance. His active background includes hip hop dance, competitive gymnastics, wrestling, football, track, baseball, swimming, volleyball, and kickboxing. He artistic directs his own work under TrAvIsMoVeS, and presently performes and collaborates as a company member with Paco Gomes & Dancers, Deborah Slater Dance Theater, and TalisMANIC Physical Theatre.
Della Davidson (Director/Choreographer) Della Davidson is a choreographer, theatre artist and teacher who creates interdisciplinary works that explore the presence of women and the lyrical power of dance and storytelling. Currently, she is a professor of Theater and Dance at UC Davis and Artistic Director of Sideshow Physical Theatre, the resident professional company of the Mondavi Center and the Department of Theatre and Dance started by Davidson in 2002. Before coming to UC Davis in 2001, Davidson directed the Della Davidson Dance Company in San Francisco for 15 years. Between Sidewhow and DDDCO she has created over 35 new works, many of which are evening-length interdisciplinary dance-plays. Her work has been recognized by numerous awards and grants including an Isadora Duncan Award (Izzies) for Choreography, a North American Choreographers Award, a Gerbode Fellowship, Rockefeller Multi-Arts Production Grant, and many years of National Endowment for the Arts support. In 2006, she was awarded an Irvine Foundation Creation to Perfromance Grant. Recently, she was commissioned by Repertory Dance Theater with Ellen Bromberg to create THE WEIGHT OF MEMORY; and has staged a new opera, DIVIDE LIGHT, for the Montalvo Arts Center. Davidson is a Chancellor's Fellow at UC Davis.
